In the year 1901 Australia was established as the Confederation of Australia and as a domain of the British Empire.
After the First World War in 1918, Australia opened its doors to immigrants who were trying to escape the repercussions of that war. Again, after the Second World War, Australia opened its doors to immigrants, entire families banished for refuge.
A program established by the Australian government, offered visas, home and help for men and women willing to work, to come with their families and start a new life.
The work of the Worldwide Missionary Movement (WMM) and our beloved founder Rev. Luis M Ortiz, led by God, felt a great burden for Australia and prayed that the Lord would open doors for them to spread the Word of God and the message of Salvation.
In the year 1986 God opened the doors.
The Lord used a worker to establish a Spanish-speaking church in the city of Melbourne, in the state of Victoria. This worker worked and with the help and support of the Lord Jesus reached more than 300 souls in this city. One day such a worker managed to hear a preaching of the Rev. Luis M Ortiz and touched powerfully by the anointing of God in this man proposed in his heart to know that preacher and ask him to go through Australia.
Seeking the identity of that man of God, he met a brother who knew the work of the WMM and immediately recognised the voice of the Rev. Luis M Ortiz. He quickly contacted him to give him an invitation and in the month of August of 1987, the Lord allowed Rev. Luis M Ortiz to touch Australian territory with his beloved wife Rebecca Ortiz and a fellow Pastor from Puerto Rico.
